Started Puppy Program

The first 16 weeks are the most crucial in a puppy's life. In today's rat-race of working families, it is easy to get lost in time and before you know it, your puppy is 6 months old. Like all things, without structure and a solid foundation, it can lead to negative behavior, declining health and regress in disposition. It is important to remember that puppies are always learning, good or bad behavior.

Foundation is KEY!

We begin our journey at just a few days old with Early Neurological Stimulation.

Puppy Socialization

Socialization is the most important aspect of your puppies life. Without proper socialization your puppy could revert backwards mentally and physically. For a dog to integrate into our world, there must be a solid foundation. Even though dogs have been "Man's Best Friend" for thousands of years, they are not born with the understanding of today's modern world. Busy roads, loud noises, televisions etc, all can have a negative impact if the puppy is not socialized and prepared for these situations.

All inclusive

Puppies through our training program receive age appropriate vaccines and deworming, including heartworm prevention. Depending on season, flea medication.

Puppies are fed an appropriate kibble and supplements right along side our personal dogs.

They receive regular grooming, teeth cleaning, nail care. Bathing, ear cleaning and blowing are included.

What you can expect

During our Started Puppy Training, we work on many key elements to continue building the foundation your puppy needs to be successful in life.

They will be exposed to an extensive amount of loud noises, other animals, water, bathing, riding in vehicles, large tractors and machinery, children, strange people.

All aspects of indoor life. Potty training, no chewing on furniture, house plants, small dogs, cats, birds. The television, appliances and staying out of the kitchen.

They will have extensive crate training. Comfortable sleeping through the night without incident.

Basic obedience, sit, stay. No jumping, barking and how to interact with strangers in public.

Basic leash work. How to walk on a leash. How to behave on a leash. No pulling, lunging or surging.

Basic focus skills while on and off a leash.

Your puppy will go home ready to take out into public with confidence.

All of our training is positively reinforced with reward and affection. We want learning to be fun and feel that the puppies learn quicker and more effectively in this type of environment.

Available Started Puppies

Biggie, Angus, Hulk, he comes with several nicknames. This 4.5 month old Black boy from our Cher and Queso litter is going to be huge. I would guess around 100-110 pounds at maturity. He is extremely calm, slow, quiet. He is eager to learn but would prefer to be a couch potato. He will do best in a less active home. He has been raised with cats, large and small dogs, house birds, horses, cows, pigs and chickens. He is finished with our started puppy program and ready to go!
